The Bare Minimum
There have been several instances in my life, both in my career and personal life, where I have seen the bare minimum attitude. I have seen people competing for a job position and once they have reached the minimum passing score, they stop when they clearly could have done better. I have seen people who state, "why would I do more work than they pay me for?" I have seen people who scathe by riding the fine line of losing their job, 'as long as they get their pay'.
This attitude is baffling to me, granted I struggle understanding how people can think so different than I do. But how is this trait going to bring you happiness? How is underperforming in every aspect of your life going to help you grow? To me, life is a great opportunity and every moment of it is a chance of growth. I firmly believe that you should give 110% in everything you do. This way, there is no missed opportunities. You will grow in every aspect that you are fit to.
Now what are you doing right now?
