Hope

It seems that the mental health of society is declining. Depression is increasing rapidly. Suicide rates, antidepressants, and sad demeanors all seem more abundant than ever. But why is that? What is making everyone so sad?

There's an idea that I like that explains if you're not moving foreword, you're moving backwards. Essentially, if you're not in control, someone else is. When something tragic happens in our life, or the lack of something at all, it tends to bring sadness into our lives. Sadness is okay, it's normal, and it's healthy to feel sad sometimes. But it isn't to dwell on it. So when sadness appears in your life, shed a tear, take a minute, and move forward. Find purpose, find a goal, look ahead. And I promise you that you will find happiness again.
